BritBox, anyone?
« on: January 25, 2020, 07:17:20 pm »
In searching for episodes of "Keeping Up Appearances," I see that it is no longer on Netflix or Amazon. It is on BritBox. A number of other BBC productions I like are on BritBox. Balck Adder and the Sharpe series are also on there. Recommendations?

Oh, dang.  I never finished that series. We only have Netflix (Ducks out to see what BritBox is all about.)

Ooo!  Red Dwarf!  Classic Doctor Who!  Bean!  Inspector Morse (CrowMan looooooves this one)!  Are You Being Served?!  Dang!  I am going to have to look into this!  Thank you!!

Problem is, if I subscribe, I will never watch American TV again.  :P. We are strictly a Netflix family.  This may change.

We have Disney+, Amazon Prime, and Netflix. Too many, IMHO. We're probably going to dump Netflix. Now, we may have to replace it with BritBox. At least for a few months. Or maybe a year...  ;D

We've had britbox but that was when it first started, they have added a lot more since so I have been wanting to get it again. We have Acorn right now again since new seasons of Midsomer Murders, Brokenwood Mysteries and Good karma Hospital are back. Britbox now has the new season of Vera, it used to be on Acorn.

We have Hulu and Netflix but we hardly watch them anymore so we may be getting rid of them on our tv (we do the fire stick).

LOL! Crowgirl, we don't watch a ton of US shows - we very much prefer British stuff.

I'm always tempted by both BritBox and Acorn, though the indecision keeps me away from both. We currently have Disney+ and YouTube TV and that's already too much. We take trial runs of various others, such as Netflix or CBS All Access, but rarely keep them for long.

YouTube TV, btw, is AWESOME. Got rid of our TiVo service for it, as it fills our DVR needs very nicely on top of being a decent 'cable' provider.
When day comes we step out of the shade,
aflame and unafraid
The new dawn blooms as we free it
For there is always light,
if only we're brave enough to see it
If only we're brave enough to be it
