Just thought I'd say hi.  I live in San Antonio.  I've been a member my entire life.  Just thought I'd check this out a bit.

Howdy, Tex. Welcome to the forum. I grew up in Idaho, lived in Fort Worth for many years, and moved to Utah about 4 years ago. I get the "transplant" part of your name. I hope you enjoy your stay here!

Greetings from the Kingdom of the Netherlands.   I liked visiting San Antonio and your temple.  The numbers of homeless scarred our hearts though.

Welcome! My husband was born in Texas and grew up in San Antonio. He went to Olmos Elementary School and what was then Robert E Lee High School.

He regaled our kids with stories how he had to walk miles in the snow (uphill, of course, holding onto the telephone wires) to get to school. When they visited Grandma and Grandpa and discovered the school behind the house, they started being a little more suspicious of Dad's stories.

About 5 years ago, when my father-in-law was dying, he needed some help. Relief Society sisters in one of the wards in San Antonio came to his aide. He wasn't a member and still they had no hesitancy in rending it. I will always be grateful for those San Antonio sisters.

Welcome, Texas Transplant. 🖐  We hope you enjoy our ward & get to meet some of the neighbors & critters.

We're going to have some sort of virtual social gathering at the Cabin soon, so you can come & start getting acquainted then. It'll be announced on the Cabin thread.

TT, I asked because the stake president of the San Antonio Texas East Stake is a good friend of mine. Just wondered if you were in his stake. But clearly, you are not.
