Intruder runs across airport runways & climbs onto a wing of an airliner preparing to take off. Falls off & is taken to hospital is he going to sue anyone? (LaGuardia).

https://www.8newsnow.com/news/local-news/mans-airplane-wing-walk-caused-mccarran-to-shutdown-runways-divert-air-traffic/

Two passengers act strangely in an airliner as it taxis for takeoff, then open a cabin door, deploy an emergency chute, & slide out with a service dog. (McCarran).

https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/news/2-delta-passengers-open-the-door-of-a-moving-plane-and-slide-out-with-a-dog-at-laguardia-airport/ar-BB1c7XlB?ocid=msedgntp

Is there some weird new ailment going around that strikes when people get on an airliner? It sounds almost as bad as COVID. :o

Medical conditions have honestly forced me to have to drink up to 2 gallons of water per day.

I'll just tell you that I seriously considered living in the bathroom. Would have been less bother in many ways.

Eeeek!

Yeah, bringing your phone, laptop, books, knitting, etc. & just parking 🚽 in there for the whole day, leaving only for meals or because someone else is frantically pounding 😬 on the door to use the bathroom.   🤣

I am drinking more water now than normal because I spend so much time at home, but nowhere near a gallon. Maybe a couple of quarts, plus any liquid from foods. It's a healthy habit, but once we're less restricted & I can be out more, or start traveling again, that will have to change. Unless I want to start using Depends, which I don't until I actually need them. 😒

Before Hubs landed in the hosp because of his gall bladder and heart he drank nearly 2 gallons of water a day. I drink about a gallon + a day. What is weird is when I am shopping, as soon as I enter a store I have to use the bathroom. If I am in there for an hour or more I have to go before I check out and leave. The off to the next store, and yep, need to go again as soon as I enter. Doesn't matter if it has only been 5 or 10 minutes since the last trip. My Mom was the same way. New building whether it was a store or Dr's office or the school to see the Principle regarding one of her 5 kids, gotta-go-pee!

Hubby loves our tap water. He says it is sweet and fresh tasting. Comparing it to our tap water in Casa
Grande it is. Nearly any water even including the river water at the 5 mile marker here (that is where the salty ocean water stops and the fresh river water begins) is sweet to him. I think our tap water has way too much chlorine in it so I filter it with a Brita pitcher system, or drink what my refrigerator filters at the Ice - Water on the door.  Since I now have false teeth I can painlessly drink iced water. Tastes great to me.

My oldest sister called water ~ God's Nectar. or H2O of the God's.

I had to convert 1 gallon into a language I understand - it's not quite 4 liters.

I drink that much when we're in a hot climate or it's summer, but in cooler temperatures, I drink much less - around 1.5 to 2 liters a day. But with a caveat - I add sea salt to my first water bottle of the day. If I don't, I'm much more likely to pass out. And drinking too much water can lead to losing more electrolytes than is healthy.

Agreed. I don't usually salt my water (because it's GROSS and I have less chance of drinking it), but when I've had to drink a ton of water, I crave salt and let myself have it.

I got used to the salt water taste. It's my best way of taking in salt quickly. Salt tablets are relatively very expensive whereas sea salt is relatively cheap, plus it's available almost anywhere, so needs must. And there are days when I require much, much more salt - ie, my IBS is also acting up and I'm sweating profusely.

With the egregious ways I salt my food when I'm craving it (once I realized I was craving it because I actually needed it), I am pretty sure I am taking it in pretty quickly.  ;D

Dyany, the hubs and I having chikungunya in 2006. For the next YEAR, I had to add double to salt to everything for it to taste normal for us. When the inlaws were in town, I was told that I was not allowed to salt the food - my mother in law would instead as they couldn't eat anything that I cooked. It comes back to haunt us every now and then - get a cold and can't taste anything at all for a month or three. Everything tastes like cardboard. One cold, the hubs only this time, could taste spicy but nothing else. So I doused his food in the hottest hot sauce I could find just so he could taste something. And every now and then, usually for days, but sometimes for months, one of us has a broken salt meter - it all tastes fine for me, but for him it's over salted, severely, or vice versa.

Oh the adventures our flawed bodies experience.

For me, the salt water thing works because it's something I need consistently every day and if I added it to the food, it would be too salty for the hubs and... well, the way I do it just works, so I'll stick with it.

Ah, I forgot about the chikungunya incident!

I try not to salt food too much as I'm cooking (unless the recipe calls for it for other-than-flavor reasons), as I've always considered that a personal preference that is rude for me to dictate. When I crave salt, I only salt my own.

chikungunya aside, he and I - and his entire family - are on the same page as far as salting things go, so I salt as I cook. But on days where I've added the amount of salt I normally add but it still tastes like it's lacking in salt, I get him (or his mother if they're around) to check. Because. You know.

This is a weird one indeed. This dude was able to hide & live in a secured area at O'Hare Airport for 3 MONTHS. He was from California & it isn't clear why he was in Chicago, but he was afraid to fly because of COVID so he just stayed at the airport. Someone should fix him up with Marilyn Hartman, the notorious serial stowaway.

Airports are big places with lots of places to kind of hide, and people to blend in with.   (Less so with the pandemic, of course.   But then there are probably gates that aren't being used and thus bathrooms that aren't being cleaned as often, too.)
