Love beach shots.  We always try to hit the beach before sunset when we first get to California.  I also like it when mother nature provides a good frame.  These weren't modified but were taken with DSLR.

I've always liked the way Zeiss lenses render images.  They have a way of making the separation of foreground/background look almost 3-D. And the lens coatings produce a very natural palette of colors. The only problem is that they're really expensive.  New ones are usually over $1000, for one prime lens. Zooms are easily double that. I found an older Zeiss 50mm lens in excellent condition.  It was made before auto focus really caught on, so it's completely manual.  I got it for a screamin' deal, and with a $35 adapter, it's a gem on my camera.  I used it for some shots of Sarah-Grace this weekend for her seven month birthday.

My goodness! There's so many great photos here!

I'm just getting started personally. I mostly take pics with the phone and then mess around a little with filters and such (pixlr is a good app for that, and they also have a online site too! https://pixlr.com/express/) Here's one I took recently of a dignified old fellow in a local park. I did very little to it save a filter and some PS adjustments to get rid of the back end of a car in it.

I love the last picture! Give me some time and I just might come up with an appropriate caption - Or Not. What a treasure she is.
