My photo challenge this week was to create something in Andy Warhol style--iconic subject, minimalistic composition, limited and contrasting colors. So, here is my composition using drum sticks and a practice pad.

Awwwww.
(ETA:  I’m reacting to the grandbaby with parents pics.  The Andy Warhol-style ones are interesting, but not Awwwww-worthy) 8)

My photo challenge this week is high-contrast black and white. I took this photo at the Veteran's Memorial at our local cemetery. The sun had just set, and the lights came on, giving some interesting lighting. Here is "Remember."

My photo challenge for this week is "Park Bench Photography." Occasionally, I have a student who is homeless. I've been worried about that since the weather got cold. It became the inspiration for my photo for this week. My son was brave enough to serve as the subject. Here is "Fifteen."

Roper, I like that you give yourself challenges.

We traveled out of CA to a nephew’s Homecoming.  We stopped at a rest stop just inside Arizona.  The stall doors are shorter than in CA rest stops.

My girls stood up and said, This is weird!

I said, Hold that pose.

My photo challenge this week is "Jewelry." Most of the members in my group are doing product shots. They're very good. They could be advertisements. I like to tell a story with my photos, if possible. So here is my photo for the week, "It's Never Too Early".  I have a temporary light setup in my family room. I got some cheap compact fluorescent studio lights that were being closed out (everything is going to LED arrays.) I'm learning a TON about lighting with them. The background is a $12 microfiber blanket.
