So far it's great. I am not reading as much each day as I would like to - life sure gets in the way.

Gary's newest book, On Moonlit Wings, is out today!  If you are reading the series, I hope you enjoy this one. He is planning on the 7th book being released in December. I think the cover is the best one yet. The artist is extremely talented.

Rex leaves to come home tomorrow! I wonder if he had time to download it before he leaves for his flight!
Time for a change.  I am yungmom, but have wanted a new username for some time.

I am so glad Rex likes the books. I hope he likes this one as much as the other ones!

This is Gary's 3rd career.  When our kids were growing up and we went camping, he'd fill the tent with his stories. It made for great memories. Now, he gets to do what he loves on a full-time basis, thanks to the other careers.

The final book of the series is out now. I think the cover is the best one yet and our artist has been amazing.

I am just finishing Book 6 - I have been very busy with work and church, and I am not the fastest reader at the best of times. So I shall probably get to read this on my summer holiday (vacation).

I do hope that Gary has plans for another series. I have loved both this and the Scouts one.

Thank you Andrew for saying that. You have no idea how much it means to an author that someone loves their books!
He has already started the next series. I read the first chapter and it is going to be good!

Still reading the "Wings of Fire" series with my daughter.  I promise I'll read the Hooper's Dragons series later this summer. As I told my daughter--only one dragon book at a time! ;)

Roper, there's always room for dragons! I hope she is enjoying the Winds of Fire series. It looks to be a very popular one. 11 books, which one are you on? Thanks for putting Hooper's Dragons on your list!

Sorry I didn't come here and say this sooner. I finished. All eight books. Though I realised, with some of the references to the past in book 8, I have forgotten quite a bit - need to re-read.

If you are still reading, do not read my spoiler comments if you don't want to have it ruined.

Spoiler for Hiden:
The end is so sad not only did I cry when I read it, I cried later when I thought about it. It was obvious, just from the name of the book, and what Hooper is told, that he has to sacrifice himself to win. However, I had hoped, and held out for, a twist that would bring him back - and it didn't happen! And, on reflection, that is right.
I know I've said it before, but, it is such a great story. The characters are people that you can relate to, and it is spun so well.
Eragon and the rest of the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini is probably the closest to this work that I have read - and this beats it for being a part of it, at least for me. But they did sail off into their future.

I need more from Gary - SciFi or Fantasy, he has proved himself at both.
Don't ask me, I only live here.
