Dyany, I hope you're doing better.

I've asked for prayers in the past for TH https://web.archive.org/web/20151014043810/http://www.nauvoo.com/ubb/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=001815;p=23.  It turns out he has an autoimmune problem that caused his foot to go from "Problem" to "Amputate NOW!" in four days.  Whilst on heavy duty antibiotics.  If not for his medically-trained wife in his corner, he'd currently be missing a leg instead of simply a couple of toes.  They've finally connected all his health issues in the past to this issue.

He's an atheist who seems amused with his Mormon friend and her faith, but is open for prayers and good thoughts.  Thank you.

I am glad Dyany is doing better too, same with your friend, Crow Girl.

Last night (day 17...day 4 on antibiotics) was the first night I really started to feel I was on the mend.  And I was able to sleep through most of the night, which is huge!  Thank you all for the prayers!

Please send prayers of healing, strength and love for young SM, who was just diagnosed with leukemia at age 6, and for the JC family who took her in  when her own mother became unfit to care for her (unrelated to the diagnosis).

Also, prayers for mom (BM) that she may see the error of her ways and take the appropriate steps to atone and redeem herself.

Of course, Goody.

It doesn't rain but it pours.  My dear son needs some peace and courage, and maybe not necessarily in that order.  prayers for him would be appreciated.  It's a small thing compared to a child with leukemia, but it seems that peace and courage can't be overrated.

Prayers, please, for the Paul and Wendy N. family.  In August, they were asked to foster a two-day-old baby girl, who had been abandoned at birth (name on her birth certificate is "Baby Girl").  Tomorrow, (23 March) they are going to court in the hopes that the path will clear for them to adopt her.

Bio-Mom changed her mind sometime after birth, was court-ordered to rehab, and saw Baby Girl once a week...until she got out of rehab and tested positive at a court-ordered visit.  That was the end of October.  No contact since.  If she shows up to court tomorrow, it will draw out this arduous process even more.

Paul and Wendy have three children, and all are actively involved in church and other extra-curriculars.  Wendy is a SAHM. Their natural daughter is CrowDaughter's closest friend.  ETA:  Their youngest is buddies with CrowBaby.  This baby has truly bonded with a family that adores her and can provide a stable home where she can learn of the Gospel and how a family is supposed to interact.  In a court of law, the bonding counts for something, but this is California, where the Best Interests of the Child are not always taken into consideration.  Prayers would be gratefully received.  Thank you.

You're right about the best interests of the children. This IS California, & other factors often (inexplicably to us regular people) get bigger priority. :-\

The Paul & Wendy family & the judge will be in my prayers.

Update.  They were granted de facto status.  Like automatic appeals for death row inmates, attorneys for Baby Girl's biological contributors are contesting termination, even though they do not contest anything brought forward regarding their clients' behaviors.  Now they must wait until 1 May.  So please remember them.

Really sounds like they are just playing out the process with court.  We find out about our two young charges towards the end of May (ages now 4 and 3).  These two girls, who have been with us 15 months so far, may end up back with their mom, a situation that we don't feel will be good for them.  Between when this case was moved from reunification to adoption by DCFS, mediation (opportunity for their mom to voluntarily terminate) and the termination court hearing three months will have passed.  This process moves too slow.  Even with our youngest, though she was given up at birth and no mom attempted to come back into the picture, we couldn't call her ours for almost 8 months.

Over the past year, I've alluded to a situation where my family needed prayers.  Due to what happened an hour and a half before we moved in with CrowMother, she was sued.  It's been a long process, but all plaintiffs have finally settled.

As her attorney told me, It's over, I let out a spontaneous deep sigh.  I realized I had been holding my breath for the last 19 months, and could now let it out.

Thank you.  Thank you all for your prayers.  Thank you for your willingness to put my family's name on temple prayer rolls all over, so people we will never know could pray for us.  Thank you to those who contacted me off-board, willing to listen and reassure me that it wasn't as bad as my imagination.  It helped me and my siblings.  As well as my dear mother.

If anyone would like to join me in putting their names on prayer rolls for the plaintiff's further health and healing, please contact me off board for their names.

What great news. Crowfamily and extended members are relieved of stress and worry.  My vt Hennie got all prepped for her cancer scan and oops no tumor...the docs are mystified but we who pray know it as a true miracle. Another great relief.  Isn't prayer just the greatest?
