More good-guys-to-the-rescue news. They didn't really HAVE to do this, but one young person who has to budget for textbooks is happy.

More good guys to the rescue. Massachusetts state police close a highway to be sure a bear family can safely be moved. :)

ETA another good deed for our furry pals.

Congrats to this outstanding student, whose folks didn't have heaps of money to pay off any professional test takers or college admissions officials, & didn't need to.

A rescued critter is safe, thanks to out-of-the-box thinking by an animal shelter worker. :)

This is not really a feel-good story, but there are some “good” things about it. All’s well that ends well, no one died or was seriously ill, but that could have happened. & this little kid is a hero who may have saved several lives.

This is more of a feel-good. Guide Dogs & other service animals have to know how to work in all kinds of environments with tons of people, activity, noise, odors, etc. Imagine being a blind person at O’Hare, with everything going on in your face but you can’t see it, & how disconcerting that might be. See a herd of Guide Dogs in training learn how to help their people get around an airport.

Don't you love it when animals emerge safe & healthy? :)  I'm glad these critters didn't get sealed into a high-rise building forever. :(

#safecat (continued)

Two very lucky cats in the Bay Area & one in Oregon are doing much better, thank you, after being rescued by people who just happened to pass by at the right moment. Each of them resembles one of the Nauvoo Cabin critters.
